Make sure your brush stroke covers both the object and the shadow it casts, before you erase.

What to expect from the fill. The eraser rebuilds the area by borrowing texture from the rest of your picture, on your own device. It works best on grass, sky, sand, walls, water, wood and other textured backgrounds. It struggles with large areas, faces, and strong geometric structure such as windows or text on signs behind the object. For those, erase in several small steps.
